Stray Animals

The Emergency Animal Hospital does not have any official arrangements with Howard County Animal Control. We cannot hold stray animals. We do have a scanner to evaluate strays for a microchip to help locate an owner. This service is provided free of charge. We can also see stray animals for emergency treatment or humane euthanasia, if necessary.

Similarly, we are not authorized to treat wildlife. If you do find an injured wild animal, we may refer you to a qualified rehabilitator.
